The Acreage offers flower deliveries directly to customers in Island Bay and surrounding suburbs in south Wellington.

I usually offer mixed bunches, but occasionally do straight bunches if something is in full flush. I have completed formal floristry training, and enjoy the challenge of working with seasons and weaving colour and texture together. My flowers will not be highly manicured, or overly “coiffed” but tidy, lavish and full. This is purposeful. Just simple, spray-free, field grown flowers for everyday.

Flowers are seasonal and serendipitous – whatever is cheerfully growing in season. I specialise in niche and unusual flowers which are harder to get at the usual spots.

I am a grower, and this is where my passion lies. My flowers are field quality, they are grown in the elements, the results are flowers which have character, and not perfectly uniform and this quality adds interest and whimsy. The Acreage is small, so growing on a micro scale means I am doing everything by hand.
